KEEPING THE FAITH ... GROWING HIS CHURCH

On December 6, 2009 Trinity held a Capital Campaign Dinner at the school where we meet for worship. During this dinner:
Our architect Paul Lodholz of Ziegler Cooper updated the congregation on the Phase 1 building plans. For a copy of Paul's presentation please click here (7.5mb file). It reflects the tremendous effort put forth by our Master Plan Design Team (David Walton team leader, Leda Stout, and Jim Nuckols).
Don Helmer, Leader of the Administration Team, gave a brief speech on the history of Trinity from a growth and financial perspective. Don noted the strong faithful giving record of the Trinity congregation. A copy of Don Helmer's remarks will be available here soon.
Don Allen, Leader of the Phase 1 Building and Long Range Planning Teams, presented a summary of our present financial status towards building the Phase 1 building and offered ways that both new and previous donors can prayerfully give what the Lord places upon their heart. On September 12, 2006 Trinity purchased 14.9 acres of land at the intersection of Fry Road and Spring Green Boulevard, near Seven Lakes High School. “Keeping the Faith, Growing His Church” is an opportunity for our church members and others to prayerfully give above and beyond their regular tithes and offerings to accomplish God’s work at Trinity. The following is a few demographics and statistics that explain why we are excited about what God has planned for us.
- In the SW quadrant of KISD (south of I-10 and west of the Grand Parkway), over 23,000 new housing occupancies are projected between 2005-2015. Over 80% of these new housing starts are within a 3 mile radius of the Trinity land location.
- Developments south of the Westpark Tollway have a combined design development population of over 26,000 people.
- At the time of its completion in 2005, Seven Lakes High School was the largest school in area in the state of Texas and second largest in the United States and also the most expensive public school ever built in the United States.
- The Master Plan Design Team is currently working on developing a Master Plan for our future facility.
- Per our contract, Trinity must break ground on Phase I of our facility within 3 years of the land closing.
God is doing a great work at Trinity! We cannot meet these goals alone! We have taken a step of faith to allow God to provide. Come join us as we grow together! The following are some things that you can do to help Trinity:
